Below is our recommended list of LCD and LED TVs in the LCD TV 37 for 2010. Many of these TVs have been reviewed either this year or the determination made from last years review of the previous model. These recommendations are based on price, quality, and value. In some cases there may be more than one recommended TV for each category. In our review testing lab we look for consistency in a brand and model series in many categories such as Picture Quality from both standard definition and HD resolution. We look for good features and aesthetic appearance with a solid working platform from the menu and remote control.
Our Quality award goes to the TV in this size category which has the top end Picture Quality as well as the best feature set. Price and value are not necessarily considered. Our Price award goes to the TV with solid performance on Picture Quality but not necessarily a robust feature set. And our Value Award goes to the TV which has the best combination of picture quality, features set and price.

Samsung LN37C550
37" LCD Television
The 5 series LCDs from Samsung are a line of mid tier, traditionally backlit LCD televisions. A 1080p panel with 4 HDMI inputs are the main features of the 5 series. It lacks the internet connectivity of some of the higher lines but the built in ethernet port allows streaming of media content directly from your computer network. USB ports allow you to view media from thumb drives as well.
The 5 series lacks the AutoMotion 120Hz refresh rates of Samsung's upper tier televisions but in our reviews of this feature's performance we don't really consider this a major downside to the TV. For gamers the 5 series features a game mode that bypasses much of the picture processing to lessen or eliminate the input delay associated with many modern, digital HDTVs.
Toshiba 37E200
LCD TV 37
The E200 series from Toshiba bring 1080p to some smaller sized CFL backlit LCD TVs that can also double as a rather large computer monitor. These LCDs are 60Hz televisions but with our experience with 120Hz and higher refresh rates that's not really a bad thing.
The E200 series has 4 HDMI inputs for your HD devices and features REGZA Link for controlling your similary enabled devices over the HDMI connection. A high resolution PC input gives the option to use the E200 series as a monitor.
LG 37LD450
37" LCD Television
The LD550 series LCDs use a traditional CFL backlight and offer many of the features of the new LED TVs at a lower price. The series features a 1080p, 60Hz LCD Panel.
Clear Voice II enhances the sound while AV Mode II allows custom settings for various media types such as sports, movies and video games.

LG 37LE5300
37" LCD TV
LG brings the slim profile, energy efficiency and better picture performance of LED edge lighting to smaller screen sizes with the LE5300 line of LED TVs. The 37 and 32 inch sizes are full HD 1080p panels that feature LG's TruMotion 120Hz. We haven't been overly impressed with the effect 120Hz processing has on the picture during film content. 120Hz does help with motion blur but some versions of this technology have tendency to remove perceived depth from the picture.
Panasonic TC-L37X2
37" LCD TV
The 2010 X2 series of LCDs from Panasonic represents a budget line of 3 TVs with a 720p/60Hz panel and traditioall CFL backlighting. The X2 series of LCDs can double as a PC monitor thanks to the dedicated PC input but using a large screen with a lower resolution isn't ideal as a PC monitor. The TC-L32X2 can also play back music or video from your iPhone or iPod with the included Universal iPod Dock.
